I started participating in sports from a very young age. Even before starting primary school, I entered cycling races with my dad. I played rugby throughout my school career, even though I was one of the smallest in my team.
My main focus changed to cycling when I was 14 and I participated in the South African championships a few times, represesenting Gauteng North. After high school, I went to study BSc Computer Science at the Univesity of the North West.
During my years at university I tried as many types of sports as I could find. I played water polo and cycled for the university team. I was also on the swimming team, played squash and rugby. I also sang in choirs and studied a bit.
After university I wanted to remain involved in sports but unfortunately cycling was too time consuming. One day I walked passed a kickboxing club and decided to give it a go. I started training and really enjoyed it.
My first fight was at the Greath North championships and I won! I could see this going further.
I was second at the first South African Championship in 2010 and since then I have managed to win the title every year.
In 2011 I participated in the World Championships in Ireland. I was now one of the Top 8.
In 2012 I won the African games in Madagascar.
In 2014 I won the WKF WORLD Championship
